On July 7, 2024, Sun World Ba Na Hills marked a significant milestone as the first batch of fresh Sun KraftBeer was officially brewed at Bana Brew House, the craft brewery located at the peak of Ba Na Mountain

Bana Brew House is a project that Ba Na has nurtured for 10 years, driven by the aspiration to create its own beer brand with a quality that rivals the finest beers in the world. The project was officially launched in the summer of 2024. With the collaboration of BrauKon—a German brand with a century-long legacy in beer production—the brewery is equipped with one of the world's most advanced production lines, fully automated from raw materials to the final product.

The brewing formula and team are directly provided by Camba – Bavaria, with the finest brewing ingredients carefully selected by Camba from Germany, New Zealand, and the United States. This ensures that every batch of fresh Sun KraftBeer brewed atop Ba Na boasts an authentic European taste.

Responsible for crafting these premium Sun KraftBeer batches is Tim Burkardt—an Australian brewmaster, often regarded as the true conductor of any brewery or beer brand worldwide. Tim Burkardt underwent a rigorous and demanding six-year training program in Germany to earn the title of Brewmaster.

These unique techniques have helped create Sun KraftBeer’s signature German-style flavor, setting it apart from other brands in the market.

WHAT'S INSIDE VIETNAM'S HIGHEST CRAFT BREWERY?

When visiting the craft brewery at the peak of Ba Na, guests can not only enjoy freshly brewed Sun KraftBeer but also explore and experience each step of the brewing process. They can take in the sweet aroma of malt and hops while witnessing firsthand how raw ingredients are transformed into exquisite beer.

The craft brewery spans seven floors and has a capacity of 1,250 guests. Visitors primarily explore floors 1 to 3 to learn about the intricate brewing process.

On the first floor, guests can see both the initial and final stages of beer production—the barley milling system and the beer canning/kegging system.

On the third floor, known as the "heart" of the brewery, visitors will discover the brewing and fermentation process within 14 massive fermentation tanks, each with an impressive capacity of 12,000 liters. They will also witness three state-of-the-art brewing kettles with a luxurious polished copper design. This floor houses the most complex system in the Bana Brew House, from production and transportation to installation and operation.

The most exciting part of the Bana Brew House tour is the opportunity to meet and have a direct conversation with Australian brewmaster Tim Burkardt, as he shares fascinating stories about beer and the centuries-old brewing techniques of Bavaria, Germany—a legendary land of beer craftsmanship.

The magnificent and unique architecture of the seven-story craft brewery, blending Western and Champa cultural influences, is sure to leave visitors in awe. Particularly, Bà Nà 1901 Restaurant, located on floors 4, 5, and 6 of the brewery, offers a selection of gourmet dishes perfectly paired with craft beer, making the experience even more memorable with an exclusive culinary journey available only at Ba Na.

If you choose the 450,000 VND/adult combo package, you will not only get to visit the brewery and taste three freshly brewed Sun KraftBeer varieties, but also enjoy a diverse buffet at Ba Na 1901 Restaurant.
